Philipp Peters

 

Philipp Peters is a Counsel in our international arbitration group. He acts both as counsel and administrative secretary to arbitral tribunals in ad-hoc and institutional arbitration proceedings.

He regularly advises clients on international delivery and supply contracts, complex engineering and construction projects and joint-ventures, in particular in the area of industrial engineering. Furthermore, he advises on the growing impact of data protection and data privacy laws and regulations on commercial projects.

He is the acting Co-Chairman of the Young Austrian Arbitration Practitioners (YAAP) and a member of the Austrian Arbitration Association (ArbAut), the German Institution of Arbitration (DIS), DIS 40, ASA below 40, CEPANI 40, ICDR Young & International, and  the Vienna Association of Junior Entrepreneurs (Junge Wirtschaft Wien). He also coaches the University of Vienna team for the annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court. 

Mr. Peters recently published the article "The Notion of Arbitral Award: An Attempt to Overcome a Babylonian Confusion" in the Austrian Yearbook on International Arbitration 2010 (as co-author) and co-authored the article "Die Anordnung der Urkundenvorlage im internationalen Schiedsverfahren" (ecolex 2010, 763).
